Beckett Locke Hotel

This city centre hotel at the North Docks in Dublin, was completed using Casa Lena Brick in a style in keeping with the local surroundings. It was a tight city centre site which required extensive, additional health and safety measures to support delivery on a busy throughway.

Project context

Beckett Locke Hotel is a city-centre hospitality project at Dublin’s North Docks. The building was completed using Casa Lena brick, selected and installed in a style intended to sit comfortably within the local surroundings.

The site was tight and located on a busy throughway. Those conditions reduced the space available for normal construction activities and increased the importance of safe access, controlled deliveries and protection of people moving near the work. The original project record specifically notes that extensive additional health and safety measures were required to support delivery.

• Deliver a Casa Lena brick façade suited to the surrounding North Docks context.
